Ten Australians will battle it out for a place in the Wimbledon main draw later this month after receiving direct entry into qualifying.

Tristan Schoolkate, Dane Sweeny, Alex Bolt, Chris O’Connell and Bernard Tomic will compete in the men’s draw, while Taylah Preston, Emerson Jones, Maddison Inglis, Priscilla Hon and Storm Hunter represent the women's charge.

After four Australians successfully qualified for Wimbledon in 2025, a three-year high, the 2026 group will aim to surpass that milestone. They hope to join the 12 Australians featuring in the singles main draws at the All England Club.

Leading the charge, Bolt and Hon will hope to replicate their magical runs in Roehampton last year.

Competing in his seventh Wimbledon qualifying campaign, Bolt aims to qualify for the grasscourt major for a fourth time. In his qualifying attempts, the South Australian has recorded victories against some future stars, including Jannik Sinner in 2019, and Spaniard Martin Landaluce to qualify in 2025.

Grass is Bolt’s most successful surface, where he'swon 86 of his 126 matches throughout his professional career. Most recently, he conceded just three games against top seed Mattia Bellucci at the Birmingham Challenger to kickstart his 2026 grasscourt swing.

As for Hon, she was the feel-good story of Wimbledon qualifying last year. After seven attempts, the Queenslander finally booked her ticket to the All England Club. Notably, she saved five match points against current top-10 player Victoria Mboko to achieve the feat.

Meanwhile, Tomic will compete at the tournament for the first time since 2021 – main draw or qualifying – as he also eyes a main-draw return at his most successful major. The 2011 quarterfinalist has featured in the 128-player draw 10 times and has recorded two top-10 victories at the All England Club.

Wimbledon qualifying commences on Monday 23 June, before the main draw begins on Monday 30 June.
