Thirteen Australians have received direct main-draw entry into Wimbledon later this month.

Seven men and five women will feature in singles action, while Aussie teenager Jin Woodman will make his Wimbledon debut in the quad wheelchair singles.

Alex de Minaur fronts the 2026 men's charge at the All England Club. After his fourth-round appearance last year, where he scored a set against Novak Djokovic, the world No.7 will hope to make another deep run at the tournament.

The most successful active Australian man at Wimbledon, De Minaur has reached the second week on three occasions, with a quarterfinals berth in 2024 his best result.

For the second-straight major, Thanasi Kokkinakis will use a protected ranking to enter the main draw. The South Australian recorded another five-set, first-round victory at Roland Garros, prevailing against local Terence Atmane.

Despite concerns after retiring mid-match against Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta due to his troublesome shoulder, Kokkinakis revealed he was taking a precautionary approach in a bid to be fit for the remaining majors.

“I felt if I kept playing [my second-round match at Roland Garros], that's me probably out of Wimbledon, as well, and maybe even US Open,” he said.

“I'm trying to be optimistic. I just want it play the Slams one more time. That's my goal.”

Alexei Popyrin, James Duckworth, Aleksandar Vukic, Adam Walton and Rinky Hijikata round out the Australian contingent in the men's singles.

All seven will strive to become Australian first men’s Wimbledon singles finalist since Nick Kyrgios in 2022, and the first men’s champion since Lleyton Hewitt in 2002.

On the women’s list, Maya Joint is once again the highest-ranked Australian, and one of five Aussie women set to compete at the grasscourt major.

She will be joined by Talia Gibson, Daria Kasatkina, Kimberly Birrell and Ajla Tomljanovic, who will all cross the channel after competing at Roland Garros.

Ash Barty was our most recent winner at the All England Club, in 2021. She became the first Australian woman to hoist the silverware since Evonne Goolagong Cawley in 1980.

Of the 2026 contingent, Tomljanovic has performed the best at the event, reaching consecutive quarterfinals in 2021 and 2022.

Woodman, meanwhile, was placed fourth on the quad wheelchair singles entry list and aims to become Australia’s second quad wheelchair singles champion after Dylan Alcott’s heroics in 2019 and 2021.

More Australians are set to feature at Wimbledon, with the singles qualifying, doubles and junior entry lists still to be released.

Wimbledon qualifying begins Monday 23 June, before the main draw commences on Monday 30 June.
