The Aussie No.1 completed impressive victories against Martin Damm Jr, Benjamin Bonzi and Adrian Mannarino, before succumbing to Poland’s Kamil Majchrzak in a tight third-set tiebreak 6-3 2-6 7-6(5).
The run returned ‘Demon’ to an equal career-high of world No.6 in the rankings and means he will be the top seed at the ATP 500 tournament at Queen’s Club this week.
Tomljanovic similarly earned three impressive victories on her way to the final four in the combined ATP and WTA event in the Netherlands.
She put in a dominant performance to down world No.54 Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro 6-3 6-1 in the first round, before coming from a set down to triumph over No.49 Dayana Yastremska 4-6 6-4 7-5.
The 33-year-old then avenged her Roland Garros loss to Caty McNally with a straight-sets win over the American in the quarterfinals, before falling to eventual champion Robin Montgomery.
