Jin Woodman has won through an impressive field to scoop the ITF wheelchair tennis title in Eastbourne, England.
After opening with a win over Gregory Slade, Woodman beat top two seeds Sam Schroder and Ahmet Kaplan back-to-back to claim the first grasscourt singles title of his career, in his first grasscourt tournament.
The 17-year-old, currently ranked world No.4, improves to 21-9 this year, and will look to continue his grasscourt form at his next two events – the ITF 1000 tournament in Roehampton, and the Wimbledon quad wheelchair championships.
Woodman will be joined by fellow Aussie Ben Wenzel at this week’s event in Roehampton.

Ellen Perez: The Aussie lefty reached her second WTA final of the year, advancing to the 500-level grasscourt final in Bad Homburg with Demi Schuurs. She improves to 24-16 in 2026.
Elena Micic: The 21-year-old reached the biggest final of her career at the W50 tournament in Palma Del Rio, Spain, rising to world No.310 as a result.
Belle Thompson: Thompson, 26, combined with Micic to scoop the doubles title in Palma Del Rio, the second and biggest doubles crown of her career.
Max Purcell: Purcell has continued his impressive comeback in Wuning, China, dropping just 16 games in five matches to win his first title at any level since 2023. He also won the doubles title with Zhao Zhao to cap a memorable week.
Matthew Dellavedova: Dellavedova’s win streak hit 24 matches before he fell to Purcell in the W15 Wuning final, preventing him from winning a fifth straight ITF final. He climbs to world No.339 in this week’s ATP rankings.
Joshua Charlton & Chase Ferguson: The Aussie duo, playing their first tournament together, reached the doubles semifinals in Wuning before going down 6-4 6-4 to Purcell and Zhao.
Lily Fairclough: The 20-year-old won the W35 title in Rome, Georgia with American Jaeda Daniel. It’s her second straight ITF doubles title after triumphing last week in Irvine, California.
Alana Subasic: Subasic advanced to the singles final of a W15 tournament in Kayseri, Turkey, her third ITF final of the year and one boosting her 2026 win-loss record to 27-14.
Edward Winter: The South Australian was a quarterfinalist in Bakio, Spain, an M25 tournament. It was his third singles quarterfinal of 2026.
Eva Lopez: The Aussie teenager, playing alongside Sofia Avataneo, progressed to the semifinals of a W15 tournament in Monastir, Tunisia, her best doubles result of the season so far.
