Men’s singles
Strong grasscourt results for our Aussie men have seen impressive rises in this week's ATP rankings.
Rinky Hijikata jumped 21 places to world No.83 after reaching the Queen’s Club quarterfinals as a qualifier.
Those four consecutive match victories saw Hijikata rise to his highest ranking since July 2025.
Another notable mover was Christopher O’Connell, who after winning the ATP Challenger title in Nottingham made big strides toward a top-100 return.
The 32-year-old improved more than 30 places to reach world No.123.
Meanwhile, Matthew Dellavedova rose 15 places to world No.361 after his continuing success on the ITF circuit in Asia.

Women’s singles
Talia Gibson’s first tour-level quarterfinal on grass last week saw the 21-year-old rewarded with a rankings boost.
Gibson crept to within striking distance of her career-high ranking of 55th after her successful week in Nottingham.

Fellow West Australian Taylah Preston also impressed in Nottingham, reaching the second round and climbing five places to a career-best ranking of world No.119.
Further fown the list, Elena Micic rose 17 places, and closer to the top 300, after reaching the second round of a WTA 125 tournament in Portugal.

Women’s doubles
Micic also enjoyed a significant boost to her doubles ranking after reaching the biggest doubles final of her career at that same WTA 125 event.
After teaming with former doubles world No.1 Kristina Mladenovic, Micic soared 38 places to the brink of the top 200.
The Australian women's doubles top five remained unchanged this week in the latest WTA rankings.

John Peers’ run to the ATP Halle semifinals saw the Victorian rewarded with a return to the world’s top 70.
Also improving this week were Blake Bayldon and Patrick Harper, thanks to their semifinal finish at the Dublin Challenger.
Mark Polmans remains Australia’s No.1 men’s doubles player at world No.35.
