Thank You for Helping Shape the Blueprint for Competitive Play

From grassroots to Grand Slams, Competitive Play is one of the cornerstones of Australian tennis. In August 2020, we started a review into how we can create a competitive play framework that attracts and retains players of all abilities while developing future champions to benefit the long-term health of Australian tennis.

As part of the review, we spoke to a large number of Australian tennis stakeholders to gain a better understanding of the current state of competitive play. We also looked beyond Australian tennis to other national tennis federations and other sports to determine current and future trends in measuring and evaluating competitor’s abilities.

We want to thank you for your contribution to this process. The key findings from this research have helped shape the Competitive Play Blueprint which proposes a path forward, including the establishment of a unified framework that will provide improved competitive experiences for Australian players.
