Hot Shots Tennis Community Play is a program designed for affiliated tennis venues where a qualified tennis coach is not available. The program has been designed to be delivered by club volunteers and aims to provide an engaging first tennis experience in a fun, friendly and welcoming environment for children of all ages and abilities.
Hot Shots Tennis Community Play has a flexible delivery model, allowing for clubs to adapt the program as they see fit to cater to the needs of their local community. It’s a great way to attract new participants to the sport and engage them ongoing.
To be eligible for the program, your club must:
- Be affiliated with your Member Association;
- Not have a qualified tennis coach present
Benefits of the Program for your Club
All registered Hot Shots Tennis Community Play venues will receive:
- Find-A-Venue listing on the Hot Shots Tennis website. This website is heavily promoted through our national marketing campaigns and will help drive new players to your club.
- Marketing resources to help you promote your Hot Shots Tennis program, including the Hot Shots Tennis logo.
- Access to the TA Coach Premium App for iOS and Android to support you with your delivery.
- New and renewing tennis clubs will receive an equipment pack that includes the following items:

How to Register
Your club will need to nominate a Community Play Coordinator to register on your behalf. Coordinators must meet Tennis Australia’s screening requirements which include:
- A current Working with Children check
- A current National Police check (please note for new applications, the date of issue must be within 12 months of the application date)
- A completed and signed Member Protection Declaration
- 2 reference checks
