Women’s Business Masterclass: Breaking Barriers
Tennis Queensland is dedicated to creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for women and girls in coaching roles. For the past nine years, increasing the representation of women in coaching has been a key priority. Currently, 37.2% of coaches in Queensland are women. While this is a promising figure, we are striving to increase the number of women head coaches and business operators and support women in taking the next step in their coaching careers.
With the support of a Queensland Government Grant via the Active Women and Girls Initiative, Tennis Queensland has launched the Women in Tennis Business Masterclass. This innovative program is designed to empower and support the professional growth of future women tennis operators across the state. Created to help women advance their tennis careers, the inaugural Women’s Masterclass offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights and connect with other women leaders in sports business.
Objectives of the Women In Tennis Business Masterclass
- Increase Female Representation: To elevate the number of women in head coach and business operator roles within tennis across Queensland, creating a more balanced and diverse coaching landscape.
- Enhance Business Acumen: To equip women with the business and operational knowledge necessary to excel as tennis operators and to drive the future growth of tennis programs in Queensland.
- Develop Role Models for Future Generations: To empower participants to become mentors and role models for the next generation of women in tennis, helping to inspire and motivate others to pursue coaching careers.
