The Queensland tennis community came together at the Queensland Tennis Centre to celebrate the life of Mal Anderson MBE, a Davis Cup champion, Grand Slam winner, mentor and much-loved figure in Australian tennis.

Held on 19 June, the memorial service honoured Mal’s remarkable journey from a dirt court on a Queensland cattle station, to the world stage.

Beyond his achievements on court, Mal was remembered for his humility, hardworking nature and lifelong commitment to giving back to the sport. His influence reached generations of players, from rising juniors across regional Queensland, to some of Australia’s most respected tennis names. Family, friends and members of the tennis community gathered to reflect on a life defined by passion, service and love of the game.

For those who were unable to attend or watch the livestream, the memorial service footage is now available to view.
