Are you ready to launch your career in Sport? Tennis Queensland, in partnership with TAFE Queensland (RTO 0275), is proud to be part of the first-of-its-kind Sports Diploma Hub. This unique initiative brings together leading sporting organisations including Football Queensland, Queensland Rugby Union (Reds), Gymnastics Queensland, and Hockey Queensland to deliver nationally recognised diplomas fully contextualised to the sporting environment. Based at TAFE Queensland’s South Bank campus, the hub provides students with industry immersion, networking opportunities, and hands-on experience across multiple sports.

Available Courses

1. Diploma of Sport (SIS50321) – Build skills in athlete development, performance planning, and sport program delivery, preparing you for roles in coaching, development, and administration.
2. Diploma of Event Management (SIT50322) – Learn to plan and deliver tournaments, showcases, and major events, managing logistics, volunteers, and budgets to create world-class sporting experiences.
3. Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB50420) – Gain leadership, business, and operational skills to manage teams, projects, and organisations within the sport and recreation industry.

What’s Involved
All courses are based at the South Bank campus and include weekly field trips to leading sporting organisations. Students hear from expert guest speakers, complete industry-focused assessments, and benefit from direct exposure to real sporting environments. Those connected with Tennis Queensland can also complete up to 70 hours of work experience across different areas of the organisation, gaining valuable skills and networks to support future career pathways.
