The recipient of this award has been involved in raising the public profile of 30+ seniors tennis through demonstrated excellence in playing performance or administration, and demonstrated behaviours that exhibit a high level of integrity.
The 2023 finalists for Most Outstanding 30+ Tennis Senior are:
Martin Richards: Richards has had great success at state, national and international level over the past 12 months with current rankings of world No.5 (singles), No.9 (doubles) and No.1 (mixed doubles). He completed a clean sweep at the Australian 50+ Championships across singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
Twink Sparks: Sparks has been the president of the Northern Areas Veterans for over 35 years. He has been instrumental in encouraging participation and helping to coordinate teams to participate in tournaments, in particular the Berri Teams Carnival and the City vs Northern Areas match. He is a life member of the South Australian Country Veterans and the Northern Areas Tennis Association.
The award winner will be announced at the Tennis SA Gala Dinner to be held at The Drive on Saturday 29 April.
