Peter Smith Open
The Peter Smith Open brings together the most talented players with visual, hearing, cognitive, and physical impairments from across the country for advanced match play, giving them the opportunity to challenge themselves and progress to higher-level national and international competitions.
Named after Australian coach Peter Smith, this tournament is divided into an Open division and a Junior division, and has featured top Australian All Abilities players such as Andriana Petrakis and Chloe Dunn.
Held at The Drive in November or December, the tournament showcases Tennis SA’s commitment to creating an inclusive tennis community by delivering high-quality competitions for players of all abilities.

SA BLV Open
The SA BLV (Blind & Low Vision) Open is a higher-level competition for visually impaired players from across the country to test their skills, improve their confidence and be part of a vibrant tennis community.
This major event has always been successful in generating strong interest. The previous event featured 40 entries, 110 matches and 23 South Australian players.
Participating in the SA BLV Open helps local players reach higher-level competition such as the Australian Open Blind and Low Vision Showdown.

Somerton Park Junior BLV Open
The Somerton Park Junior BLV (Blind & Low Vision) Open is an inclusive tennis tournament for junior players aged 18 and under with vision impairments. Held at Somerton Park Tennis Club, it forms part of Tennis SA’s commitment to offering diverse competitions for players of all abilities.
It serves as a stepping stone for junior players to reach higher-level competitions such as the SA BLV Open.

This community-level tournament invites wheelchair players of all ages and skill levels for exciting match play that builds confidence, encourages growth and celebrates inclusivity.
