Where regional champions rise – the State Foundation Cup brings together the top regional junior players for exciting individual and teams-based competitions.
About the State Foundation Cup
The State Foundation Cup brings together the highest performing junior players from the following six regional areas:

- Lower Northern
- South East
Boys’ and girls’ teams in the 10/u, 12/u, 14/u and 16/u age groups compete in both team and individual events over four exciting days. This prestigious tournament provides a platform for regional players to showcase their skills and progress to higher level competitions.
Each region is supported by a Regional Coordinator who communicates with players and parents, along with two Regional Coaches who manage squad training and team selection for the State Foundation Cup.
An important part of the regional tennis calendar, the previous event saw more than 180 of South Australia’s brightest young tennis talents showcasing their skills and passion for the game.
The State Foundation Cup returns in 2026 from 6–9 October.
