The annual event recognised the players, coaches, volunteers, officials, clubs, schools, councils and community organisations who continue to make a significant contribution to tennis across South Australia, while also celebrating the achievements of this season's Metro League premiers and individual award recipients.
Tennis SA CEO Callum Beale said the Awards Night is a key celebration of the South Australian tennis community.
"The Tennis SA Awards Night is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible people who make our sport what it is," Beale said.
"From volunteers and coaches to officials, players, clubs and community leaders; every person recognised on the night has played an important role in growing tennis across South Australia” Beale concluded.
Among the night's standout achievements was Sam Clayson, who claimed the Most Outstanding Coach – Rural award for an incredible fourth consecutive year, a testament to his ongoing commitment to developing players and growing tennis throughout regional South Australia.
Sarah Mildren also continued her remarkable run of success, receiving the Gwen Thiele Memorial Trophy for the second year in succession in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the sport.
The evening also saw Tennis SA President, Philip Roberts, inducted as Tennis SA's newest Life Member, recognising his exceptional and longstanding contribution to tennis in South Australia.
Community impact was again front and centre, with the Craig Palfrey Wheelchair Tennis Program recognised as the Most Outstanding Inclusion Initiative. The program has continued to create meaningful opportunities for people with disability to participate in tennis, building confidence, connection and lifelong involvement in the sport.
Tea Tree Gully Tennis Club and Mount Gambier Tennis Club were recognised as the state's Most Outstanding Tennis Clubs, while Prince Alfred College, the City of Port Adelaide Enfield and the Lucindale 60th Anniversary Easter Tournament were also honoured for their outstanding contributions to tennis during the past year.
The evening concluded by celebrating South Australia's leading athletes, with Alex Bolt awarded the Burr Medal and Jasmine Adams receiving the Boyce Medal following another exceptional season. Adams also completed a memorable night by being named Tennis SA State League Women's Player of the Year.
