About Glenelg and Western Districts Winter Juniors
This winter league provides young players affiliated with the Glenelg and Western Districts Tennis Associations the opportunity to grow their skills, build confidence and enjoy exciting match play in a positive team environment. Designed to support their learning and development, it helps children connect with the vibrant and supportive tennis community.
These competitions also offer a strong foundation for future progression, guiding players who are interested in competing their way through the state’s Performance Pathway.
Eligibility criteria
- Tennis clubs affiliated with Tennis SA and Glenelg Districts Tennis Association or Western Districts Tennis Association can nominate a team.
- All nominated players must have completed their CPP (Competitive Player Profile) and connected their UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) or CBR (Coloured Ball Rating).
- Team nominations need to be submitted online via League Manager. Clubs that are accepted will receive an invoice once the nominations have been finalised.

Match formats
Team structure
Each team must consist of four to six players. A player may choose to play singles only, doubles only, or both singles and doubles.
Match formats
Boys Division 1-3 matches:
Both doubles and singles matches are played as six‑game sets, with a tiebreak at six games all (first to seven points, must win by two).
Girls Division 1-2 matches:
Both doubles and singles matches are played as six‑game sets, with a tiebreak at six games all (first to seven points, must win by two).
Girls Division 3 matches:
Both doubles and singles matches are played as one six‑game set, with the first player or team to win six games winning the match.
