Tennis SA is pleased to announce the appointment of Callum Beale as its new Chief Executive Officer and Director – Venue and Community – Adelaide International.
Returning to South Australia after more than two decades working nationally and internationally in tennis, Beale brings more than 30 years’ experience across the sport as a player, coach and administrator, and joins Tennis SA from Tennis Australia where he has most recently served as Head of Game Expansion.
Beale began his professional administration career in performance, coaching and talent development in Perth in 2010, before progressing through a series of senior leadership roles at Tennis Australia, including Head of Talent & Performance Operations and Head of Game Development Partnerships. Across these roles, he led national talent and pathway strategies, managed high performance programs, negotiated commercial partnerships and worked closely with government, industry and international governing bodies.
In his national role at Tennis Australia, Beale was instrumental in the strategic growth and integration of complementary racquet sports, including Padel, Pickleball and POP Tennis, driving significant participation growth, venue integration and commercial partnerships.
His work saw Tennis Australia become the first Grand Slam to integrate multiple professional racquet sports into the Australian Open, delivering strong fan engagement and media impact.
Tennis SA President Philip Roberts said Beale’s appointment followed a competitive national search.
“The Board is delighted to have Callum join Tennis SA as CEO. He has the background and experiences we need to build on our existing strong base,” Roberts said.
Beale said he was excited by the opportunity to return to South Australia and lead tennis in his home state.
“To be able to give back to a sport, state and organisation that has played such a significant role in my own tennis journey is a real privilege.”
“South Australian tennis has a proud and rich history, underpinned by a strong club, coach and competition network. These foundations provide a great opportunity for growth which I am delighted to be part of.”
‘Surrounded by a passionate tennis network, the Tennis SA board and staff are to be applauded for their many successes over recent years. It is an exciting time for South Australian tennis, Tennis South Australia and the racquet industry more broadly,” Beale said.
Callum Beale will commence the role on 1 May 2026.
