Tennis SA is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Lynton Manuel last week, at the age of 52.
Lynton joined Tennis Seniors SA in 2017 and quickly became a valued and well-liked member of the community. A regular competitor in the Men’s B1 Thursday night competition, he later transitioned to the Wednesday night A1 comp in 2019, playing for the Eagles, who would later become the GSMs.
A strong and competitive player, Lynton was known for his love of the game, his sportsmanship, and his camaraderie with teammates and opponents alike. He was always up for a good match, followed by a great red wine shared among friends.
Lynton’s presence both on and off the court will be sorely missed.
We extend our sincere condolences to Lynton’s wife and three children, and to all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
