Athelstone Tennis Club and Coromandel Valley Tennis Club have claimed the 2023-24 Tennis SA Junior State League premierships on at The Drive.

In the girls’ competition, Athelstone defeated Seacliff Tennis Club five rubbers to one to claim their first Junior State League premiership.

Meanwhile in the boys’ competition, Coromandel Valley defeated East Adelaide Payneham, with only the one game splitting the two sides.

Tennis SA Junior State League Coordinator Mitchell Reilly was pleased to congratulate the winning sides.

“We are delighted to congratulate Athelstone and Coromandel Valley as the winners of the 2023–24 Tennis SA Junior State League,” Reilly said.

“This is the third premiership for Coromandel Valley in the boys’ division, and Athelstone’s first in the girls’ division. Both teams are thoroughly deserving of this fantastic result.

We express our gratitude to all clubs, players, and volunteers who have contributed to this season. We also extend genuine appreciation to everyone who attended the Junior Awards Night earlier in the evening and the Junior State League grand finals.

It was fantastic to see the crowd supporting our junior players.”
