South Australia’s Andriana Petrakis, along with world No.3 Archie Graham have won the II-1 classification singles titles at the Peter Smith Players with an Intellectual Impairment (PWII) Open at Next Generation Memorial Drive on Sunday.

Petrakis came through her round robin tournament without dropping a game winning each of her three matches 6-0, while Graham also didn’t drop a game in the round robin stages before defeating Zarey Sou (NSW) 6-0 in the final.

Both Petrakis and Graham were a part of the world championship winning Australian team at the Virtus European Summer Games in Krakow, Poland earlier this year.

“Thanks to Adelaide for being the host city for the National Junior Training Camp for players with an intellectual impairment. The camp was a fantastic lead-in training event for the 2022 Peter Smith SA PWII Open,” Alison Scott, Tennis Australia National Coach – PWII said.

“The tournament provided a great opportunity to bring both new, junior and experienced players together to compete”
