Coming in to effect ahead of this 2022/23 summer season, there will be a change to how players sign up to play competition tennis.

Whether playing in a social competition, State League or competition tennis at any level, all players (both junior and senior) will need to have a Competitive Player Profile. The creation of this profile involves linking a player’s Tennis ID and Universal Tennis Rating (UTR).

All existing players in South Australia are encouraged to complete their Competitive Player Profile by Wednesday 31 August. Doing this will ensure that clubs can enter their 2022/23 summer season competition teams with the correct data for grading purposes. A Competitive Player Profile can be created by the player themself or by a parent/caregiver.

Players will still be able to complete their Competitive Player Profile following the 31 August deadline if necessary. Players registering in a competition team for the upcoming 2022/23 summer season should complete this process before the relevant team nomination deadline for grading purposes. Fill-in players or new players joining during the season should complete this process prior to their first match.
