The Junior State League and State League finals series begins this weekend with matches being held around metropolitan Adelaide.

In the Junior State League boys competition, top placed East Adelaide Payneham will take on Seaside in the first semi final this Friday night with the winner to move straight through to the grand final. Closely matched on the ladder, Glenunga and Seacliff will face off in the second semi final. Glenlea lead the ladder in the girls competition and will play Athelstone in the first semi final, with Memorial Drive and Peake Gardens Riverside to play in the second semi final.

State League semi finals will be held on Saturday. Top of the ladder Tea Tree Gully are set to take on last year’s runners up Glenlea in the first men’s semi final, while Seaside and Peake Gardens Riverside will play off in the second semi final. In a repeat of last year’s grand final, Glenlea and Seacliff will go head-to-head in the first women’s semi final, with Happy Valley and Athelstone/Tea Tree Gully to play in the second semi final.

Teams will take a break over the long weekend, with preliminary finals to be held on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 March. Grand Finals will be played on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 March.
