Seacliff Tennis Club girls have claimed their third straight Tennis SA Junior State League victory following an action packed Friday evening at Next Generation Memorial Drive.

Seacliff also claimed the Junior State League boys premiership,
with Broadview Tennis Club claiming the Green Ball Junior State League
premiership.

In the girls’, Seacliff defeated the young Athelstone side four rubbers to two.

“It’s really exciting,
especially having both Seacliff boys and girls teams in the grand final,”
Seacliff girls’ team captain, Cydney Crumbie said.

“It was always going to
be a really tough match because we know they have barely lost all season. We told
our team to go out and enjoy it and play the best that they could.

“Hopefully this will
encourage the kids that coming through at the club and give them the aspiration
to hopefully get to a final one day as well.”

Meanwhile in the boys’ competition, Seacliff took a four rubbers to two win over Trinity Gardens to claim their second Junior State League premiership.

“I’m really happy, I
think the boys did a great job to get through lots of close matches,” Seacliff
boys’ team captain, Lachlan Brain said.

“Before the game we knew it wasn’t going to be easy and we were expecting it to be a battle.

“Junior State League is awesome because you are playing as a team and you know you’re going to get a tough match every week. It is great to have lots of juniors out here playing.”

Tennis SA Leagues
Coordinator Luke Taylor was pleased to congratulate the
winning sides.

“We are thrilled to congratulate the 2020/21 Tennis SA Junior State League champions, Seacliff Tennis Club,” Taylor said.

“This win takes the Seacliff girls to three Junior State League premierships in a row and both teams thoroughly deserve this result following a great home and away season.

“Our congratulations also to the 2020/21 Tennis SA Green Ball Junior State League premiers, Broadview Tennis Club.”
