Represent your school in fun, competitive tennis tournaments — and you may even earn the chance to compete against school teams from other states.
School Sport South Australia tournaments
These tournaments are conducted by School Sport South Australia and are fully endorsed by Tennis SA. They play an important role in the promotion of junior development pathway for students.
Bruce Cup
The Bruce Cup is one of Australia’s most prestigious national school tennis championships open to girls and boys aged 12 and under and showcases emerging talent from across the country.
Participation in the competition is by selection only, with teams chosen by Tennis SA state coaches. This ensures players who demonstrate strong performance and commitment have the opportunity to excel within the school development pathway.
Pizzey Cup
The Pizzey Cup is a national schools tennis championship for girls and boys aged 18 and under. It allows secondary school students to represent their state or territory in team competition and test themselves against other top players from around Australia.
Similar to Bruce Cup, only teams chosen by Tennis SA state coaches can participate in this tournament.
Gallipoli Youth Cup
Formerly the Australian Schools Tennis Challenge, the Gallipoli Youth Cup offers secondary schools a clear pathway into national‑level competition. The event brings together champion school teams from across Australia to compete for the National High School Tennis Championships.
State Championship winners receive direct entry with wildcard positions offered to eligible schools based on playing standard, player ratings and State Championship results. All wildcard selections are at the discretion of the Tournament Director.
