About GDTA Orange Ball Association Match Play (Winter)

Held over the winter months, this competition is played on a smaller court with simpler rules to give junior players affiliated with Glenelg Districts Tennis Association a positive and enjoyable introduction to competitive tennis. Children can build their skills and grow their love for the game in a fun, supportive environment. 

For young players keen to continue developing, it’s the perfect stepping stone – helping them challenge themselves while confidently progressing along the Performance Pathway


Eligibility criteria

Match formats

  • Each team is made up of three players 
  • All players are required to play one singles match and two doubles matches each week 
  • Each round is played as a first-to-four game set with no tiebreaker and no AD scoring.
