About GDTA Orange Ball Association Match Play

Played on a smaller court with simpler rules, this competition is designed to allow junior players affiliated with Glenelg Districts Tennis Associations to enjoy a fun competitive play while improving their skills along the way. 

For kids who are keen to continue their tennis journey, this is a great opportunity to challenge themselves so they can move up the competitions ladder

2025-26 key dates

Term 4 Dates

  • Nominations Open: 13 August 
  • Nominations Close: 17 September 
  • Start Date: 18 October 
  • Final Round: 13 December

Term 1 Dates

  • Nominations Open: 22 December 
  • Nominations Close: 21 January 
  • Start Date: Saturday 31 January 
  • Final Round: Saturday 28 March

Match formats

  • Each team is made up of three players 
  • All players are required to play one singles match and two doubles matches each week 
  • Each round is played as a first-to-four game set with no tiebreaker and no AD scoring.
