About Green Ball Series 

The Green Ball Series is designed to support player development by rewarding consistent performance and commitment. Players accumulate the valuable points based on their finishing position for their chance to compete at the end‑of‑year State Finals and Nationals. 

Age category

To be eligible for the Green Ball Series, players must be 10 years old or under. 

Tournament structure

The Green Ball Series only offer singles matches. 

Points structure

  • Winner: 250 points 
  • Runner up: 125 points 
  • 3rd and 4th place: 100 points 
  • 5th – 8th place: 75 points 
  • 9th – 16th place (in elimination playoff’s only): 50 points 
  • 2nd Place in Round Robin: 30 points 
  • 3rd Place in Round Robin: 20 points 
  • 4th Place in Round Robin: 10 points 
  • 5th and 6th place in Round Robin: 5 points 

How to enter

Sign in to Tournaments to register for the Green Ball Series.


Progressing to State Finals

Players must be between eight and 10 years old on the last day of November to progress to the State Finals. 

Eligible players will receive an invitation from Tennis SA to enter the State Finals. 


Progressing to Green Ball Nationals

All players who qualify for the Green Ball Nationals will receive an official invitation, which must be accepted in writing. 

There are three spots available in the draw per gender. The winner of the SA State Finals will receive direct entry into the Green Ball Nationals. 

The remaining two positions will be awarded to the next two highest‑ranked players on the Green Ball Series points leaderboard.
