About Green Ball State League (Winter)

Held over five weeks during the winter months, this competition brings together the most talented metro-based 11/u players, for a chance to improve their skills and challenge themselves against other top players in their age group. 

For aspiring athletes, the Green Ball State League (Winter) creates a path toward more advanced competitions within the state’s Performance Pathway.


Selection criteria

  • Any players affiliated with metro-based tennis associations can nominate themselves. 
  • To be eligible, each player must at least be 8 years of age at the start of the season and no older than 10 at the end of the first round. 
  • All nominations need to be submitted online

Match schedule and format

Schedule:
The 2026 match schedule will be announced soon.

Match format: 

  • Matches are made up of four singles matches, two same‑gender doubles and two mixed doubles. 
  • Each rubber is played as a first‑to‑four‑games set using normal deuce and no tiebreaker. 
  • If the competition has fewer than six teams, the number of rounds may be reduced.
