About Les Tapp OAM Junior Inter Association

This inter-association competition event gives local junior players the opportunity to sharpen their skills through exciting match play against players from other tennis associations. It’s a fantastic way to build confidence, improve their game and experience the thrill of competitive tennis in a supportive environment. 

Beyond the court, the competition brings together young players from across the region, creating shared experiences and becoming part of the vibrant South Australian tennis community. 


Eligibility criteria and registration process

Les Tapp OAM Junior Inter Association is held on a weekend in March at Woodville Orion Tennis Club. 

To take part in this competition, players must be associated with one of the following tennis associations: 

  • Glenelg Districts Tennis Association 
  • Eastern Districts Tennis Association 
  • Western Districts Tennis Association 
  • Southern Districts Tennis Association
  • North East Tennis Association 
  • Hills Tennis Association 
  • Regional SA

Competition categories: Gender-based 10/u, 12/u, 14/u and open (17/u) 

All participating associations can register a team for each competition category, so if you’d like to get involved, we recommend contacting your district representative.

Match formats

  • Each team must consist of four to six players 
  • Each team will play each other at least once  
  • Each tie includes four singles and two doubles matches 
  • 10/u singles and doubles matches are played as a single six‑game set using a green‑dot ball 
  • All other singles and doubles matches are played as a six‑game set with a tiebreak at five games all using a yellow ball 
  • No‑ad scoring applies.
