27. Is your club responsible for maintaining its sporting ground?

The condition and longevity of a tennis court is directly related to the amount of care and maintenance it receives. For further information on the maintenance required for different types of tennis courts, please visit the Maintenance page of the Tennis Australia website.

28. Does your club pay its energy bills?

If your club pays all or part of its energy bill, you should regularly review your energy contract to ensure you are getting the best deal. Visit the ‘Energy made Easy’ website to compare your contract.

Tennis Clubs can also undertake an energy audit to help determine areas where energy can be saved. The Green Hubs Guide  is a great place to start for clubs looking to review their energy usage.

30. Find out if you club is meeting its minimum financial requirements.

As an incorporated club, it is recommended that you complete the ‘Good Governance Checklist.’ This set of questions is designed to be asked of the governing committee of an Incorporated Association as a guide to healthy governance. It is intended to generate discussion about what changes may be needed, how these can be made and who can help.
