Winter Junior State League

The Junior State League is aimed at providing the best junior players in South Australia the opportunity to compete against each other in a weekly competition played over the Winter season.

Junior State League 2 (or JSL2). is aimed to create a pathway for players who have performed well at Association level and are striving to make the Junior State League competition.

The Junior State League competitions are played on Friday nights in a home and away structured competition.

The Key Changes to Winter Junior State League are:

  • Clubs may enter multiple teams
  • Each team must have 5 listed players, these players can not be listed on additional teams. Minimum of 4 matches played to qualify for finals
  • No changes can occur after nominations close
  • Must be 10 or older from May 15th
  • Finals to be hosted by the higher ranked team
  • Team Fee – $200 across JSL and JSL 2



Key Dates for the 2026 Season:
1. Online team nominations open, 23rd March 2026
2. Online team nominations close, 6th April 2026.
3. First round commencing 15th May.
4. Last round to be played on 14th August 2026.
5. Finals to be run over 2 weekends, commencing 21st August and Grand Final on the 28th of August
6. Matches will not be played over the Kings Birthday weekend 5/6/7th June.
7. Matches will not be played over the School Holidays from 3rd to the 18th of July.
