Super 10’s

Super 10s in 2026 – What’s Evolving

In 2026, Super 10s will evolve to align with an expanded and strengthened national Green Ball (GB) competition landscape.

With increased quality and volume of local, state and national Green Ball events, Super 10s will continue to play a foundational development role, while ensuring it complements  rather than competes with — competition opportunities.

Moving forward, there is clearer role definition across the pathway:

  • Green Ball events will provide the primary competition platform
  • Super 10s will prioritise high-quality development experiences, including training environments, learning-based activities and targeted match play that supports the competition calendar without duplication

This evolution reflects our shared belief and player development philosophy that young athletes thrive best in environments that support learning, enjoyment, confidence, and long-term development, rather than early specialisation or over-competition.

New: Super 10s State Green Ball Camps

From 2026, Super 10s State Green Ball Camps will be introduced to strengthen development opportunities across the year.

These camps are designed to:

  • Complement (not replace) athletes’ regular coaching environments
  • Provide exposure to national principles of ecological training design, decision-making development, and high-quality learning environments
  • Progress intentionally toward Green Ball Nationals in November 2026

The Super 10s Australian Open National Green Ball Camp will also continue, bringing together selected players and coaches from across the country.

  • 2026 Super 10s Camps – Selection Day: Sunday 3rd May 2026

Each camp will have a particular focus. Selected Players are expected to participate in the whole season (6 camps) unless injuries, travel, sickness.

Dates: 6 Camps will be run on Sunday morning between May and Nov 2026. Dates TBC.

Registrations for the selection day will open soon.

Who Can Participate

Super 10s is open to boys and girls aged 10 years and under. Selection considers a range of development indicators, including:

  • Character – Positive behaviour, respect for others and support for fellow athletes
  • Developmental trajectory – Strong technical and tactical foundations and overall athleticism
  • Playing standard – Ability to rally consistently to defined targets with depth, speed and spin
  • Tournament experience – Engagement in Green Ball Series events and club or regional competition
  • Commitment – Ongoing engagement in training and competition

Super 10s remains a development-focused program, designed to support learning, enjoyment, connection and long-term athlete growth within a nationally aligned pathway.

Super 10s State of Origin Events

State of Origin–style events will remain in 2026 for eligible 9–10-year-old athletes, providing:

  • Inter-state, team-based match play experiences (e.g. VIC vs SA, NSW vs VIC)
  • A fun, motivating and rewarding opportunity that recognises engagement in the pathway
  • A strong emphasis on teamwork, connection and representing state pride

Selection for the Super 10s State of Origin are made from the super 10s.
