Information for Clubs & Coaches

Tennis NSW supports clubs and coaches to deliver PWII tennis programs by providing practical information, resources and connections.

Integrating PWII Tennis into your Club Programs

Clubs can create an inclusive environment by offering PWII tennis programs that welcome players with intellectual disability or autism. This can include adapted coaching sessions, modified equipment and court setups, and using simplified rules or visual supports to help players engage confidently. By partnering with Tennis NSW, Special Olympics Australia, or Sport Inclusion Australia, clubs can access resources, coaching guidance, and pathways for competitions, ensuring players of all abilities have the opportunity to participate, develop skills, and be part of a supportive tennis community.

Integrating PWII tennis not only creates inclusive opportunities but also strengthens community engagement and gives clubs the chance to champion diversity in sport.
