About Ken Rosewall Arena

Ken Rosewall Arena (KRA) is an award-winning, multipurpose arena, centrally located at Sydney Olympic Park.

KRA is the official home of the United Cup Sydney and the NSW Swifts and Giants Netball Teams.

Built for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games, KRA also hosted the Sydney International between 2000 – 2019.

A $50 million upgrade, completed in 2019, has transformed KRA into a multipurpose, state of the art venue, suitable for year-round use. The striking new cable-tension canopy roof is a first for stadia in Australia.

The upgrades include:

  • a unique, custom built fabric roof over the entire arena
  • operable doors to enclose or partially enclose the arena
  • installation of broadcast, AV and electrical services enabling plug and play event capability

KRA is named in honour of Australian tennis great Ken Rosewall AM MBE. Rosewall was born in Hurstville, NSW, and amassed 18 major titles in a career that continued into his 40s.
