A New Constitution for Tennis NSW

At the 2022 Tennis NSW Annual General meeting held on 24 November 2022, the Tennis NSW membership approved and adopted a new constitution for Tennis NSW. The new constitution ensures that Tennis NSW has a best practice governance document that is modern and fit for purpose. The new constitution is largely based on the Sport Australia best practice ‘model’ constitution (which has been specifically drafted to reflect and implement the Sport Governance Principles and Sport Governance Standards, as recommended by Sport Australia) while also retaining some key provisions from the previous version of the Tennis NSW constitution. The current Tennis NSW Constitution dated 24 November 2022 as adopted at the 2022 AGM can be accessed here.

Tennis NSW has also prepared an explanatory document which provides details on why the Tennis NSW Board considered that a new constitution was necessary, and explains key changes in the new constitution with reference to previous versions of the Tennis NSW constitution. This explanatory document can be accessed here.
