The Metro Sydney Hardcourt Championships have wrapped up following a successful fortnight of competition in Campbelltown, with 374 players competing across the Open and Junior events.
Bringing together some of Sydney’s leading established and emerging talent, the Championships showcased a high standard of tennis in a welcoming and vibrant environment. Outstanding weather, quality facilities and strong community support combined to create a memorable experience for players, families and spectators alike.
Held at Campbelltown for the first time as part of a three-year partnership between Tennis Macarthur, Tennis NSW and the NSW Hardcourt Tennis Association, the event delivered on every front, both on and off the court.
In the Men’s Open Tier 1 Singles, the tournament’s top two seeds went head-to-head, with Jeremy Zhang claiming the title. In the Women’s Open Singles, top seed Chiara Di Tommaso proved too strong, defeating third seed Stephanie Huang to secure the championship.

Beyond the competition, players and attendees benefited from a range of activations designed to support wellbeing and enhance the tournament experience. Heartbeat of Sport conducted more than 40 heart health assessments throughout the event, while StretchLab Campbelltown helped players stay tournament-ready with dedicated flexologists on site.
The venue also offered a fully catered experience, with multi-use courts available for social activities, including POP Tennis, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy throughout the Championships.
Shaun Mulraney, Head of Tennis Operations & Pathways at Tennis NSW, praised the success of the event and the contribution of Tennis Macarthur and its local partners.
“This is the first Metro Sydney Hardcourt Closed Championships tournament held at Campbelltown as part of a three-year deal with Tennis Macarthur and Tennis NSW, in partnership with the NSW Hardcourt Tennis Association. We all could not be happier with how this event has gone this year. The atmosphere was great, the tennis was at a high level and the way in which Tennis Macarthur and their local partners have supported the event has been outstanding. We are already looking forward to 2027 and would like to thank all the players and their parents for supporting the event.”
With a strong player turnout, high-quality competition and valuable community activations, the Metro Sydney Hardcourt Championships have laid a strong foundation for future editions in Campbelltown and reinforced the event’s position as a premier fixture on the NSW tournament calendar.
