Tennis NSW is proud to support a meaningful NAIDOC Week initiative delivered in partnership with Clubhouse Tennis and Ulladulla High School, celebrating culture, community and connection through sport.
What began as a conversation with the Ulladulla High School team evolved into a meaningful program designed and delivered by Clubhouse Tennis. Over several weeks, around 40 Year 7 students participated in fortnightly tennis sessions, developing their skills, building confidence and enjoying the opportunity to be active in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The program was further enriched by the involvement of 10 Year 12 Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation (SLR) students, who worked alongside the coaching team to support activities, mentor younger participants and develop their own leadership skills through hands-on experience.
The initiative concluded with a vibrant Tennis Slam Day, providing students with the opportunity to showcase their progress and celebrate their achievements. Filled with energy and enthusiasm, the day highlighted participation, teamwork and personal growth, creating memorable experiences both on and off the court.

At its heart, the program reflected the spirit of NAIDOC Week, creating opportunities to learn, connect and come together while celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Tennis NSW extends its sincere thanks to Clubhouse Tennis and Ulladulla High School for their partnership and commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for students and the wider community. Initiatives such as this demonstrate how tennis can bring people together, break down barriers and create a genuine sense of belonging for all.
We look forward to continuing to support programs like this across New South Wales, working alongside schools, clubs and communities to ensure tennis remains an inclusive, accessible and welcoming sport for everyone.
