Tennis NSW is inviting affiliated clubs and venues across the state to submit Expressions of Interest (EOIs) to host endorsed tournaments as part of the 2027 Competitive Play calendar.
In line with its commitment to continually improving the tournament experience for both players and hosts, Tennis NSW is undertaking an early engagement process to better understand venue capability, intent, and alignment with strategic priorities, before formal calendar decisions are made.
Tennis Australia’s Competitive Play system provides players a structured national pathway from coloured ball competitions through to junior and open tournaments. This pathway is supported by consistent national regulations governing tournament delivery, player eligibility, draw formats, scoring, and behaviour, ensuring a professional, fair, and development-focused environment at all levels of the game.
Key information for applicants:
- EOIs must be submitted by a current Tennis NSW member
- All venues used for tournaments must be affiliated with Tennis NSW
- Submission of an EOI does not guarantee tournament allocation
- Previous hosting history does not guarantee future allocation or the same tournament level/type
- A full review of the 2027 calendar will take place, with potential changes to locations and formats
Requirements:
- Appoint a qualified Tournament Director and appropriate workforce
- Operate all tournament administration, including draws, scheduling and results via Tournament Planner (mandatory)
- Comply with Tennis Australia Competitive Play Regulations and all relevant policies, including Code of Behaviour, Member Protection, and Anti-Corruption
- Comply with TA officiating requirements, including completion and submission of TORF forms and all officiating-related documentation.
- Ensure all players enter online and hold a valid Competitive Player Profile
- Complete a post-tournament report
- Tournament Directors are required to develop and maintain a detailed match plan, submitted to Tennis NSW and updated at key intervals leading into the event
Each applicant is only required to complete the EOI form once and can include details for multiple tournaments within their submission, with applicants encouraged to provide comprehensive responses to support effective and aligned tournament allocation.
Submit your EOI today and be part of the future of competitive play in NSW.
