Tennis Macarthur has been awarded hosting rights for the Metropolitan Sydney Hardcourt Closed Championships for the 2026-2028 period, securing one of Sydney’s premier annual tennis events for the next three years.
Held during the first week of the Term 2 school holidays, the Championships will run across eight days at the Wests Tennis Centre. The event will feature the 05K from Friday 3 July to Monday 6 July, followed by the J125 from Tuesday 7 July to Friday 10 July.
Tennis NSW Head of Tennis Operations and Pathways, Shaun Mulraney, said “Tennis NSW is delighted to announce that Tennis Macarthur will host the Metro Sydney Hardcourt Closed Championships for the next three years. South West Sydney is one of the fastest growing areas in Australia and with the support of Tennis Macarthur, the NSW Hardcourt Tennis Association and the wider tennis community in Sydney, we look forward to welcoming players, parents and the local community to the Wests Tennis Centre in July.”
Tamara Kemps from Tennis Macarthur also welcomed the opportunity to host the Championships, saying “Tennis Macarthur is delighted to be awarded the opportunity to host the Metro Sydney Hardcourt Closed Championships over the next three years.
