Tennis NSW is committed to fostering greater participation and representation of First Nations people in tennis, both on and off the court. To support this vision, applications are now open for the First Nations Small Grants initiative! This grant has been introduced to help clubs, venues and individuals deliver culturally safe and inclusive tennis programs.
Who can apply?
The grants are open to:
- Venues or Clubs keen to host a First Nations tennis program, led by a First Nations coach or in partnership with a First Nations organisation
- A First Nations tennis coach or aspiring tennis coach interested in delivering a First Nations program
What support is available?
Successful applicants may receive:
- Funding to support coach fees, equipment, and court hire
- Support for First Nations people wanting to deliver a program who require a coaching qualification or Tennis Australia coach membership
- Access to culturally appropriate resources and guidance
- Opportunities to connect with the broader First Nations tennis community

EOIs are now open and will be accepted on a rolling basis. Programs are scheduled for Term 1 and Term 2 of 2026, with applications assessed continuously and outcomes communicated as they are determined.
