Twenty projects have been awarded funding in the 2025 Round of the Tennis NSW Facility Enhancement Fund.
A full list of recipients is provided below.
The funding awarded will support delivery of an expected $1.47 million in facility enhancement projects featuring LED lighting upgrades, fencing and digital access systems, clubhouse and amenity refurbishment, accessibility and shelters, court upgrades, solar projects and more.
Successful applicants demonstrated how their projects would increase the number of participants; improve the participant experience; enhance venue sustainability; address barriers to participation; and/or create/improve pathways for performance and competitive play.
Tennis NSW President Melissa Achten spoke positively about the impact of the Facility Enhancement Fund, highlighting its value in supporting clubs and communities:
“The Tennis NSW Facility Enhancement Fund continues to be a powerful tool for improving tennis infrastructure across the state. It’s providing the financial support that enables clubs to deliver impactful projects and ultimately, create better experiences for players and communities. This program reflects the commitment of Tennis NSW to building a sustainable future for tennis in in the state.”

Lane Cove West Tennis Club
Tennis NSW visited Lane Cove West Tennis Club to share the exciting news of their successful funding application, confirming the club had secured $41,737.50 through the Facility Enhancement Fund for their court access upgrade project. The funding will support the installation of new fencing around all three courts, along with a digital gate system using magnetic automation, integrated with the club’s current booking platform to ensure seamless and secure access for users.

Over the past year, Lane Cove West Tennis Club has been on the journey to become Project and Investment ready with the support of the Tennis NSW Tennis Development team, exploring the best solutions to make their venue more sustainable. What began as a search into new software evolved into digital gate access, along with fencing enhancements to prepare them for the upgrades to court access.
By actively engaging in the Project and Investment journey Lane Cove West Tennis Club were able to prepare well in advance and be ready to put forward their compelling project case when a grant opportunity arose.
“We’re so grateful to the support provided by Tennis NSW. To be able to access much needed funds and to have access to advice and resources Is incredibly valuable,” said Lane Cove West TC President, Sandy Davoren.
