Day 3 matches are complete at the NSW Open.
Top seed Thanasi Kokkinakis (SA) defeated Filip Peliwo (POL) in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. Rinky Hijikata (NSW) has also progressed to the second round, after defeating fellow Aussie, Matthew Dellavedova (VIC) 6-3, 6-4.
On the women’s side, Astra Sharma (WA), Gabriella da Silva-Fick (NSW) and Jamie Fourlis (QLD) all had convincing wins and will continue their NSW Open campaign tomorrow.
Day 4 kicks of with Destanee Aiava (VIC) up against Alana Parnaby (VIC) and Talia Gibson (WA) against the number 1 seed Sujeng Jang from South Korea. After James Duckworth (NSW) was forced to withdraw, lucky loser, Blake Mott (NSW) will return again tomorrow on court 4. Luke Saville (SA) will play the number 3 seed, Taro Daniel (JPN).
