Matches have come to an end on Day 2 at the NSW Open.
In qualifying action, Ryan Seggerman (USA) has defeated New South Welshman, Blake Mott (AUS) in a grueling three setter. Unfortunately, Ashlee Narker (NSW) was unable to advance to the main draw, losing to Haruna Arakawa (JPN).
In the men’s main draw, Luke Saville has progressed to round 2 of the men’s main draw, overcoming wild card Blake Ellis in straight sets. The ladies main draw singles will kick off tomorrow.
Tomorrow on Court 2, we have a star studded line up with the first match kicking off at 10am between Maddie Inglis and second seed Astra Sharma. Thanasi Kokkinakis will play second, followed by James Duckworth, before the day ends with up and coming NSW junior star, Pavle Marinkov.
On court 9, Rinky Hijikata will play fellow Aussie Matthew Dellavedova. Following Hijikata’s match, Gabriella Da Silva-Fick returns home to Sydney to commence her campaign against the eight seed, Lanlana TARARUDEE (THA). Petra Hule (SA) and Jamie Fourlis (VIC) will also go head to head.
