Dear NSW tennis community,

Extension of LGA’s under tighter COVID restrictions: Parramatta, Georges River & Campbelltown

Further to the Premier’s announcement this morning, Parramatta, Georges River and Campbelltown local government areas have been added to the list of Local Government Areas who are subject to increased COVID restrictions. This now means that the above LGA’s are added to Canterbury-Bankstown, Liverpool, Fairfield, Blacktown and Cumberland as LGA’s who are under stricter COVID restrictions.

If you live in one of these LGA’s and either coach or work at a tennis venue, then you may continue work at a tennis venue that is within the LGA you reside in but you are not permitted to leave these LGAs for the purposes of work as tennis coaching / tennis venue management does not fall into the Authorised Workers category.

The rules for leaving your local government area and the list of workers authorised to travel outside the local government area they live in if they are required to leave home for work can be found here.

We appreciate that some of our coaching and tennis venue workforce may be affected by these restrictions. We continue to encourage our tennis community to be mindful of the current Public Health Orders and adhere to the restrictions to keep our community safe with the aim that we can resume to normal as quickly as possible.

Thank you, and stay safe.
