Day 3, done and dusted. It was a long one, we saw some great tennis out on the grass, which is getting us more excited for the remainder of the week.

The completion of the first round of Main Draw Singles and Main Draw Doubles matches were played at the Albury City Tennis International.

Fifth seed, Harry Bourchier (TAS) defeated Rinky Hijikata (NSW) 6-4 6-2 to get his week off to a positive start.

Second seed, Dayne Kelly (VIC) was made to work hard for his 7-5 6-3 win against Ken Cavrak (VIC), securing his place in the next round.

Colin Sinclair (NMI) was the only seed to fall in the first round, with qualifier Issei Okamura (JPN) claiming a 7-6(5) 2-6 6-4 win.

Upcoming we have round of 16 Singles matches, as well as Quarter Finals of the Doubles draw.

We have a lot of social events coming up over the next couple of days, including a ladies lunch, Pro-AM social event, kids day and a VIP lunch. The action is chock-a-block on and off the court.
