Entries are closing for two major tournaments on the NSW calendar, the Country Championships and the Tennis World Sydney Closed.

The Country Championships, encompassing the Junior Tour event and Silver AMT, is the most prestigious event in NSW Country tennis. Former winners include Grand Slam champions Tony Roche, Mark Edmondson and Evonne Goolagong Cawley, and more recently, Nathan Healey and Ashley Fisher.

While country players battle it out in Forster, Metropolitan players will go head-to-head at the Tennis World Sydney Closed. Former champions include John Newcombe, Todd Woodbridge and Ken Rosewall.
