Tennis Country Governance & Model Review

Following a resolution at the Tennis NSW (TNSW) July Board meeting, TNSW has taken the opportunity to engage with Mike McLaughlin Consultancy (MSC) to conduct a review into Tennis Country.

MSC, who previously undertook the Sydney Tennis Review, will undertake a thorough evaluation and provide recommendations into the optimal governance, organisational and operating structure of Tennis Country with the view of greater support for regional stakeholders, setting clear strategic objectives and maximising opportunities for growth in all aspects of the sport throughout regional NSW.

The Tennis Country Review will include (but is not limited to) the following:

  • Review of the current purpose of Tennis County
  • The operational model & activities of Tennis County
  • The governance and delivery model in place for Tennis in country NSW (e.g. player, coach, official development, competition structures and delivery at association and club levels, etc.)
  • Future Focus – challenges and opportunities

An in-depth analysis and stakeholder consultation process has recently commenced and will run from August to early October with findings and recommendations to be presented to the TNSW Board in November 2020.
