6 October 2020 | Tennis NSW

Firstly, we hope you are all continuing to stay safe and well during these ongoing challenging times. It has now been over 6 months since the COVID-19 pandemic hit tennis. We as an organisation have continued to focus on supporting our stakeholders, managing the financial strength of the organisation whilst also maintaining the health and wellbeing of our staff.

As an organisation, we are not immune to the economic impact that COVID-19 has had on the community as a whole. The continued impact of this pandemic has meant that we have had to reassess our financial position alongside a review of our strategic priorities both nationally and at a state level.

This review has led to an increased focus on supporting stakeholders, providing playing opportunities and providing ongoing communication and marketing support. The financial implications of COVID-19 have meant we have had to reduce our workforce and therefore a few changes have occurred within each of your respective regions.

Each region will continue to be lead by a Regional Tennis Manager who will have a team of three Tennis Development Officers who will continue to offer support and guidance as they have done historically while also providing support to schools within your region. Furthermore, there will be two Regional Administrators working in a full-time capacity to service NSW and a Schools Development Manager who will support the Regional Tennis Managers and Tennis Development Officers in achieving our strategic goals through the schools sector.

If you wish to discuss these changes in more detail, then please reach out to your Regional Tennis Manager.
