The 2025 State Foundation Cup brought together more than 180 of South Australia’s brightest young tennis talents for four days of action, energy, and regional pride. Now in its 12th year, the event saw teams from the Hills Fleurieu, River Murray, Eyre Peninsula, Upper Northern and Yorke, Lower Northern, and South East regions go head-to-head in both team and individual matches across the 10/u, 12/u, 14/u, and 16/u age groups. With passionate coaches and coordinators leading the way, the competition was filled with incredible rallies, teamwork, and sportsmanship, showcasing the future stars of regional tennis in South Australia.
This year’s event also marked the official launch of Tennis SA’s new Road to the Regions initiative. An exciting program designed to boost tennis participation and development across regional South Australia. The initiative will see Tennis SA deliver events, programs, and support directly to regional communities, creating more opportunities for players, coaches, and clubs to get involved and grow the game at every level.
