Today saw the first round of qualifying action at the inaugural Charles Sturt Adelaide International.

South Australian Youngsters Lawrence Bataljin and Darren Polkinghorne featured in match of the day with Bataljin sneaking through in a third set tie break in a see-sawing affair.

Fellow South Australian player Paul Kramberger had one of the wins of his career defeating Japanese veteran Takao Suzuki in straight sets 6-4 7-6. For all of today’s qualifying results please find the updated draw sheet attached.

Also today the main draw was released at the draw ceremony held at 12:30pm in the West Lakes Community Club. Among the exciting main draw match ups is powerful Australian players  Chris Guccione and Sam Groth facing off in what will be a battle of the big serves.

Rising South Australian star Luke Saville takes on wildcard Dane Propoggia and Brydan Klein takes on 2013 Junior Australian Open champion Nick Krygios.
