The globally renowned Rafa Nadal Tour has completed its sixth Australian stop at the Rafa Nadal Tour SA in West Lakes, South Australia.
The tour enables 12/u and 14/u players to play in a Junior Gold or Silver tournament, allowing players to compete for valuable junior ranking points while also learning and participating in set activities aligned with the values of the Rafa Nadal Academy including sportsmanship, commitment, fellowship and effort.
Winners of both the Trophies of Values and the Tournament itself will progress to a special Masters final held next January in Melbourne.
Junior players Filip Fantasia (Golden Grove, SA) and Scarlett Dattoli (Ivanhoe, Vic) won the 12/u titles, while Aiden Lim Shi Feng (Adelaide, SA) and Sukhi Venkatesh (Adelaide, SA) won the 14/u titles at the tournament.
“We are thrilled to congratulate our winners of the Rafa Nadal Tour in South Australia,” Tournament Director Emily Smith said.
“We also congratulate our Trophies of Values winners for their engagement and positivity throughout the tournament.
“We have had a fantastic week at West Lakes Tennis Club and it has been pleasing to see the players take part with such enthusiasm.”
“The Rafa Nadal Tour focuses on the four values that Rafa embodies in sportsmanship, commitment, fellowship and effort,” Rafa Nadal Tour Australia Manager David Boyes said.
“Whilst we have seen some competitive matches on court during the week, it has been great to see so many players participate in the off court activities aligned with these values.
“We have really seen the players take on board the values and it has been wonderful to see them grow throughout the week.
“Our sincere thanks to the West Lakes Tennis Club for the warm welcome to their club this week.”
